6th Infantry Battalion VIP Quarters, Malabang, Lanao del Sur

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the donning of rank of Brigadier General Roberto Ancan who is promoted to the rank of Major General at the 6th Infantry Battalion (6IB) VIP Quarters in Malabang, Lanao del Sur.
Likewise, the Commander-in-Chief awarded six (6) Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) personnel the Order of Lapu-Lapu with the Rank of Kamagi.
The Kamagi Medal is given to those who actively participated in and contributed significantly to an activity pursuant to a campaign or advocacy of the President.
The six (6) awardees played pivotal roles in the neutralization of ISIS-Maute leader Owayda Abdul Najid B. Marohombar aka Abu Dar, who was killed in a military encounter in Lanao del Sur on March 2019.
Prior to the donning of rank and awarding of medals, the President also led the wreath-laying rites in Barangay Curahab in Malabang, Lanao del Sur in observance of the 121st anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence.
