“Let me congratulate the winners of this 2nd Fellowship Golf Tournament for embodying the spirit of camaraderie and solidarity through competitive sports. The success of this event shows that anything can be achieved through commitment, dedication, unity, and teamwork,” said President Duterte as he led the awarding ceremony of the 2nd PRRD Fellowship Golf Tournament at the Villamor Air Base Golf Course in Pasay City.

The tournament was participated by golf teams hailing from some members of the uniformed personnel (MUP), including the Presidential Security Group (PSG).

“This tournament indeed serves as a testament not only to your interest in the game of golf but also to your commitment to work together in serving our people and defending our democratic institutions,” the President said in his speech.

The Commander-in-Chief also encouraged the support and cooperation among the uniformed personnel as they participate in activities that would develop the unity and collaboration within their organizations.

“As this event nurtures your personal and professional ties within the armed services and the Executive Branch, I ask you to renew your commitment to work towards ensuring peace and order in our homes, communities, and across the nation,” he said.

“Together, let us continue to embody solidarity and promote active participation in our shared task of building a stronger and more peaceful nation,” the President added.

The Team Philippine Army – Alpha bagged the championship trophy in the tournament wherein the podium placers were awarded with trophies, medals, and cash prizes from President Duterte.
