President Rodrigo Roa Duterte graced the thanksgiving dinner of former Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano who celebrated his birthday by hosting the occasion at the Marco Polo Hotel in Davao City.

In his message to the birthday celebrator, President Duterte expressed his gratitude to former DFA Secretary Cayetano, saying, “I’d like to convey to you Alan my gratitude and my heartfelt thanks for joining the Cabinet, helping me in the hours of my distress as a government worker and as a friend. It was an honor running with you… You’re a very good man.”

The thanksgiving dinner was also attended by State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi of the People’s Republic of China who is on a two-day Official Visit to the Philippines, China’s Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, DFA Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr., former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence Go, other Cabinet members and government officials, and several businessmen.
