A statue of the Philippines’ national hero, Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal, is erected in the garden of the Embassy of the Philippines in Brussels, Belgium.

History records indicate that at the age of 29, Dr. Jose Rizal finished writing the El Filibusterismo (English alternative title: Reign of Greed), the sequel to Noli me Tangere, in the capital city of Brussels in Belgium.
