Intercontinental Hotel, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte witnessed the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) during the Business Forum at the Intercontinental Hotel in Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (HKJ).

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon M. Lopez led the signing of seven (7) letters of intent (LOIs) of various top officials of businesses and industries while 43rd Philippine Business Conference Chairman Secretary Jose P. Leviste, Jr. signed two (2) MOUs with his Jordanian counterparts, “for the promotion, strengthening and expansion of trade, economic, scientific, technological cooperation and other business relations between both chambers, member organizations, and firm,” and the “establishment of linkages between businesses and industrial sectors in the Philippines and Jordan to facilitate cooperation and joint ventures among members and to increase bilateral trade volume between the two countries.”

The signing of agreements aims to bolster trade and investment relations between the two countries that would yield an estimated investment value of US$60.675 million and generate 434 new jobs.
