President Rodrigo Roa Duterte applauded the men and women of the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) for their unwavering commitment in upholding the rule of law and for the protection of the Filipino people’s interest, as he graced the OSG’s 117th anniversary in Pasay City.
In his speech, President Duterte commended the OSG lawyers, staff, and personnel for their accomplishments as the government’s primary legal defender, saying that the agency was able to fulfill its mandate.
“In these past two years alone, our capable OSG team has shown their impressive legal acumen and skills in landmark cases that they have handled before the courts,” the President said.
He added that for the past years, the OSG has embodied the meaning of true public service for instilling genuine reforms in the society. He then asked the agency to keep on performing its duties to achieve improvements not only in the workplace, but also for the entire nation.
“Join me as we pursue these tasks in the next four years. As we celebrate a milestone, may you further strengthen your resolve to remain a pillar of good governance and defender of the people’s government that gives primacy to the welfare of our nation and the progress of our country,” President Duterte urged.
