President Rodrigo Roa Duterte visited seven (7) wounded-in-action (WIA) soldiers at the Metro Davao Medical and Research Center (MDMRC) in Davao City.

The soldiers were identified as Pfc. Nicasio Badana III, Pvt. Michael Liban, Pfc. Jackson Macaraig, Cpl. Kith Domingo, Pvt. Roy Inovejas, Pvt. Roger Belas, and Pfc. Daniel Fabular.

Pfc. Badana, Pvt. Liban and Pfc. Macaraig were wounded an encounter transpired at Surigao del Sur on May 18, 2018. Cpl Kith Domingo was wounded in Compostela Valley Province on May 19, 2018.

Meanwhile, Pvt. Inovejas, Pvt. Belas, and Pfc. Fabular sustained their wounds last May 21, 2018 in an encounter at Compostela Valley Province while heading towards KM. 15, Barangay Cabuyoan, in the Municipality of Mabini.

During the visit, President   Duterte allotted time to talk to the WIA soldiers and awarded them the Order of Lapu-Lapu, Kampilan Medal.
