President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with the senior representatives of the UP Vanguard Inc. (UPVI), an alumni association composed of graduates of the University of the Philippines (UP) Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) advanced courses in a courtesy call in Malacañan Palace.

In a statement, President Duterte urged the UPVI officials to promote discipline among the youth as the future partners of change and a vital part of the nation’s development. He also acknowledged the contribution of the organization in helping the government’s campaign in good governance and anti-corruption drive.

Among the key representatives of the UPVI who were present during the courtesy call were its Chairman Gilbert Raymund Reyes, National Commander & Vice Chairman Guido Alredo Delgado, Vice National Commander & Governor Floro Francisco, Adjutant and Governor Gabriel Tuason, Treasurer and Governor Astrolito Romulo Del Castillo, and PRO and Governor Maricel Agapito.
