National Information Convention (NIC)

The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) launches the very first National Information Convention (NIC) in Davao City that aims to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sector communicators.

The meeting takes place at the SMX Convention Center in Lanang, Davao City with the theme, “Spurring Development and Empowering Communities through Information”. About 1,500 participants composed of information officers from the national government agencies and local government units (LGUs), representatives from local and international media, the academe, and communications and technology industries leaders gather together to engage in the three-day forum from February 19-21, 2018.

The NIC is a collaboration project by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Radio-Television Malacañang (RTVM), Philippine News Agency (PNA), Philippine Broadcasting Service (PBS)-Bureau of Communication Services, APO Production Unit, Inc., Philippine Television Network and National Printing Office (NPO).
