Aguinaldo State Dining Room, Malacañan Palace

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte presided and listened to several discussions during the 17th Cabinet meeting of his administration at the Aguinaldo State Dining Room in Malacañan Palace.

Prioritized during the meeting were updates on the recovery, reconstruction and rehabilitation of Marawi City and the rehabilitation efforts in Ormoc City and nearby towns due to a 6.5 magnitude earthquake, both topics led by Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.

Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Fortunato Dela Peña led a discussion on the Philippine Rise, formerly known as the Benham Rise, located off the eastern coast of the Philippines.

A briefing on President Duterte’s participation in the Grand Commemorative Celebration of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) 50th Anniversary and Related Meetings was also tackled by a representative of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Several Cabinet members, private proponents and other high-ranking government officials were also present to discuss other matters and take part in the discussions.
