President Rodrigo Roa Duterte administered the oath of office of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) at the Rizal Hall, Malacañan Palace.

The FFCCCII is the largest organization of Filipino-Chinese businessmen actively involved in various advocacies and a broad range of activities to serve the nation. It was established in 1954.

After the oath-taking, the President witnessed the ceremonial turnover of the scale model of a two-classroom school building by the Federation to the Department of Education (DepEd). This is under the ‘Operation: Barrio Schools’ flagship project of FFCCCII that involves the donation of two-classroom school buildings to public schools throughout the country.

In his message, President Duterte commended the FFCCCII for being a staunch supporter of government in uplifting the lives of the marginalized. He recognized the Federation’s various contributions to economic growth, job generation, health and education.

He assured the Federation that government is implementing reforms for a more conducive and thriving business environment. At the same time, he appealed to the Filipino-Chinese business community to help stop corruption by reporting abusive and corrupt government officials and employees to Project 8888.
