President Rodrigo Roa Duterte talked with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in a bilateral meeting at the Sakhir Palace on the second day of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The two leaders discussed the further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries that will be celebrating its 40th anniversary next year.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa is the first king of Bahrain since the monarchy was established on February 14, 2002. He was also chosen as the country’s second emir on March 6, 1999. His father, Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, was the first emir of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
