Ms. Maria Lourdes Espeleta is a nursing administrator in a women’s hospital and she has been working in Qatar since 1982. A widow of a Qatari national for almost seven years now, she still actively participates in the Filipino community activities organized all over Qatar.

During the interview, Ms. Espeleta shared that the Filipinos in Qatar were recently recognized as the best community in the state.

She also mentioned that even though she does not visit the Philippines on a regular basis, she supports President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in his advocacies for the welfare and development of all Filipinos.
