President Rodrigo Roa Duterte arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Monday for a two-day state visit to the kingdom.

Philippines Airlines PR 001 carrying the President touched down at King Khalid International Airport 9:43 p.m. Monday.

Among the Philippine officials who welcomed the President were Consul General Imelda Panolong, Charge D’Affairs, Philippine Embassy Riyadh; Consuls Iric Arribas, Christopher Patrick Aro, Mary Jennifer Dingal and Vice Consuls Noel Fernandez and Von Ryan Ferrera.

Saudi Arabia officials who welcomed the President were Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Al Saud, Riyadh governor and the chief of Royal protocol as well as the minister in attendance.

The President and the members of his delegation proceeded to the King Saud Guest Palace after their arrival.

During his trip to Saudi Arabia, the President is expected to meet His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, high-ranking Saudi ministers and the members of the Filipino community.
