Jose Dennis Teodosio is an accomplished writer in the Philippines. One such recognition is the 2014 Carlos Palanca Memorial Award, the most prestigious and longest-running literary competition in the Philippines, for his Filipino essay (sanaysay) entitled “Ang Daigdig sa Ilalim ng Papag ni Lola Mude.”

In 2011, he moved to Yangon to write commercially viable television programs and to train future media professionals in Myanmar. This resulted to innovative TV programs that earned international accolades. He has since stayed, working at the Myanmar Media Development Center as a consultant for creative services – scriptwriting and training — and considers Yangon his second home.

Mr. Teodosio is one of the more than 200 Filipinos who will attend the Filipino community meeting in the upcoming official visit of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on March 19 (Sunday). He and his kababayans will be traveling for five hours from Yangon to the administrative capital of Nay Pyi Taw for the event.
