President Rodrigo Roa Duterte welcomed the officials of Gideons International, an evangelical Christian association, in a courtesy call at the Music Room of Malacañan Palace.

Mr. Rovic T. Jereza, Gideons Philippines’ National President, said they called on President Duterte to introduce their organization and to extend their help and support to his administration, particularly in spreading the good news of the Lord by distributing free biblical scriptures.

Founded in 1899, the Gideons serves as an extended missionary arm of the Church that had printed and distributed over 1.6 billion Bibles and New Testaments in more than 190 countries across the globe.
