President Rodrigo Roa Duterte joined Presidential Adviser on Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion III and the country’s business tycoons in a dinner at Malacañan Palace.

During the event, Mr. Concepcion lauded the President’s simple lifestyle as shown during the recent official visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his wife, Madame Akie Abe. According to Mr. Concepcion, President Duterte’s simplicity garnered his respect and that of the Filipino people.

Likewise, Mr. Concepcion gave updates on the recently launched ‘Negosyo Para sa Kapayapaan sa Sulu’ project that aims to bring peace and socio-economic development to the communities in Sulu through livelihood programs, mentorships, infrastructure, and facilities. The project was initiated by Agriculture (DA) Secretary Emmanuel Piñol and Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez through the help of entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Joining the dinner were former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Bohol 3rd District Representative Arthur Yap, former Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairman and Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque, SM Prime President Henry Sy, Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) and TV5 Chairman Manny Pangilinan, Jollibee Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tony Tan Caktiong, Ayala Corporation Chairman and CEO Jaime Augusto of Zobel de Ayala, among others.
