President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with New Zealand Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully during his brief stopover at the Langham Hotel in Auckland, New Zealand.

According to Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, the two officials expressed desire to boost trade and investment relations, especially in the dairy industry.

Likewise, both officials wished to enhance people-to-people cooperation and high-level exchanges between the two countries.

The meeting happened while the President was returning to the Philippines after his attendance in the recently concluded Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit held in Lima, Peru.
