President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with the Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. officials on the last day of his four-day state visit to the People’s Republic of China.

The officials were Huawei Global Board Director, President of Huawei Asian Pacific Region Li Jinge, CE of Huawei Philippines Gao Kexin, CTO of Huawei Philippines Ma Jianhua, President of Southern Pacific Region Wei Chengmin, Director for Public Affairs in Southern Pacific Region Zhang Yan and Head of Public Affairs-Huawei Philippines Lui Tao.

Also present during the call were Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay Jr., Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, NEDA Director General Ernesto Pernia and Charge d’ Affaires Elizabeth Te.

Huawei is a Chinese multinational telecommunication service company and is the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer in the world. It is focused on manufacturing phone switches but has expanded to building telecommunications networks, providing operational and consulting services and equipment to enterprises inside and outside of China.
