President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was welcomed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and was introduced to his ministers at the grounds of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China.

President Duterte was accorded with military honors and was welcomed by children holding small flags of both the Philippines and China during the ceremony.

The President is in the country for a four-day state visit upon the invitation of China.
