After the release of Norwegian Kjartan Sekkingstad, three Indonesian hostages held captive by the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) for three months were released on September 17, 2016 (Saturday).
The three Indonesians, identified as Lorence Koten, Theorus Kopong, and Emanuel Arakain, were abducted by the ASG in Lahad Datu, Sabah, Malaysia last July.
According to Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza, the freed hostages are now in the custody of the government of Indonesia.
