President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, together with his fellow leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), graced the signing of the ASEAN Declaration on One ASEAN, One Response: ASEAN Responding to Disasters as One in the Region and Outside the Region, in a ceremony at the National Convention Centre (NCC), Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

The declaration envisions unity and solidarity among the ten ASEAN Member States towards the understanding of the region’s framework on disaster management and emergency response.
