The Government of the Philippines (GPH) Peace Implementing Panel Chair Irene Santiago and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Peace Implementing Panel Chair Mohagler Iqbal presented the joint statement that concluded the two-day executive session.

In the joint statement, both parties agreed to increase the membership of the Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC), with 11 members to be nominated by the MILF, and 10 members by the GPH.

Both panels are confident the move would ensure inclusivity in the implementation of the GPH-MILF Peace Agreements. They also assured the media that nominees for the position would be strictly vetted by both parties.
