Malacañan Palace

The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV)’s Board of Trustees, officers and delegates from its different dioceses nationwide paid a courtesy call to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte at the Rizal Hall in Malacañan Palace.
Led by its National Chairperson, Ambassador Henrietta De Villa, the PPCRV leaders handed over to President Duterte a packaged token of regional products as a gift.
In his speech, President Duterte narrated how he was convinced to run for the presidency in the recent elections. He said that all he wants to achieve is “to send a child to school and feed a family.”
The President then reiterated that he is willing to accept the consequences, and that he assumes the responsibility of the government’s fight against illegal drugs.
“I am putting at stake my honor, my life and my presidency…It will be a clean government, for the nth time, I tell you,” said the President.
The PPCRV is an organization in the country affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church that ensures clean and honest elections.
