President Benigno S. Aquino III joined the Philippine American  life and General Insurance Company (Philam Life) in celebrating their 65th year anniversary of Empowering the Filipino people.

In his speech, the President sent his gratitude for PhilAm life’s fulfilling works and services. He stressed that over the years its services grew to offer more than life insurance  but has also maintained its status as a market leader by delivering its promises beyond its services for the financial needs of the Filipinos.
The President also lauded Philam Life for the investments they made in the Philippines such as the South Metro Manila Skyway Project and various investments in the energy and utilities industries.

He also acknowledged  Philam Life’ s assistance of P15 million for various corporate social responsibility projects adding that the money helped coconut farmers in Davao improved their products marketability  and increased the environmental knowledge and scientific skills of elementary and high school students in Antique that also paid for the school fees of over 500 schoolchildren in Lamitan, Basilan assuring their uniforms, books, and school supplies.

He also thanked Philam life for the 65 classrooms that they are going to build as part of its Philam Life paaralan program over the next 5 years saying that these classrooms will directly benefit over 3 thousand students in that time and thousands more in the future.
