Italy’s Defense Minister Giampaolo Di Paola paid a courtesy call to President Aquino in Malacanang. Admiral Di Paola is an Italian naval officer, served as the Italy’s military Chief of Staff from March 2004 to February 2008 and became Chairman of the NATO Military Committee before he was appointed as the Minister of Defense in November 2011.
