President Benigno S. Aquino III proudly stated some of his administration’s achievements as he led the Daang Matuwid coalition in its miting de avance held at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.

Firstly, the President mentioned that from 2.94 million, the number of out-of-school youth (OSY) around the country decreased to 1.2 million during his term.

On health, he said that 93 million Filipinos are now beneficiaries of PhilHealth, compared to 47 million members in 2010.

Likewise, President Aquino cited some of the various modernization programs done by his administration for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), such as the acquisition of 12 new fighting jets that will be completed next year.

The Philippines, according to the Chief Executive, is now being recognized globally because of its significant economic gains. Aside from other members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), several countries in Asia, the United States of America (USA), Australia and European nations are now supporting the Philippines in its fight concerning China’s claim of the entire West Philippine Sea.

As he ended his message, President Aquino said, “Karangalan kong maging bahagi ng isang mapayapang pagsasalin ng kapangyarihan sa susunod na administrasyon. Harinawa, sa araw na iyon, ipapasa natin ito sa taong tunay na magdadala sa Pilipinas sa katuparan ng ating mga pangarap – sa paraang may takot sa Diyos, makatarungan, makatao at sumasalamin sa diwa ng ating pagka-Pilipino.”
