Muntinlupa Sports Complex

President Benigno S. Aquino III spelled out the administration’s accomplishments in Muntinlupa when he met its local leaders and residents in Muntinlupa Sports Complex.
According to President Aquino, the government allocated Php 2.05 billion budget for infrastructure in Muntinlupa from 2011 to 2016. The amount is three times bigger from its Php 696.8-million infrastructure budget from 2005 to 2010.
“Sa infrastructure, kasama po diyan ang transport project na nagamit po natin ngayon papunta dito. ‘Yung MCX (Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway), na sinasabi sa ating mababawasan ‘yung traffic dito sa Commerce Avenue,” he said.
President Aquino also remarked that 436,000 out of its population of 500,000 are members of PhilHealth Insurance Corporation. From zero recipient of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in 2010, 9,903 households in Muntinlupa are now beneficiaries of the given program.
“May programa po ang Department of Health (DOH), Health Facilities Enhancement Program. Nakapaglaan po sa Muntinlupa ng Php 31.7 million at ang mga natulungan po ay ‘yung Victoria Health Center sa Tunasan,” he reported.
Furthermore, President Aquino underscored the 75% crime rate reduction in Muntinlupa through the ‘Oplan Lambat Sibat’, led by then Secretary Mar Roxas of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
He concluded by encouraging the local leaders and Muntinlupa community that the responsibility and the mandate to sustain the development of the ‘Daang Matuwid’ are within their hands.
“Kayo po ang gumawa ng pagbabagong ating pinakikinabangan ngayon. Kayo ang pwedeng lalong magpalago ng pagbabagong ito upang maging permanente…Ang poder po ay nasa mandato ng taumbayan. Ang responsibidad, nasa taumbayan,” he said.
