President Benigno S. Aquino III met with US President Barack Obama at the White House Oval Office before leaving for Los Angeles to meet with the Filipino Community. Although President Aquino and President Obama have met four times over the past two years, this is their first meeting at the Oval Office with the US President as the leader host.
The meeting between the leaders of the two ally nation is said to lay the groundwork for the future of the strategic partnership between the Philippines and the United States.
