On the first day of his Working Visit to Los Angeles, California, President Benigno S. Aquino III held a business meeting with Walt Disney International Chairman Andy Bird.

In their meeting, the two exhanged ideas on how the Philippine government can continue to support and develop the industry. They also discussed investment policies and the climate in the creative sector, mainly in game development and animation.

Also present during the meeting was Walt Disney International Vice President for Global Public Policy Jim Flippatos. Attending for the Philippine side were Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Cuisia, Secretary to the Cabinet Jose Rene Almendras, Acting Socio-Economic Planning Secretary Emmanuel Esguerra, Finance (DOF) Secretary Cesar Purisima, Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Adrian Cristobal Jr., Defense Secretary (DND) Voltaire Gazmin, Communications (PCOO) Secretary Sonny Coloma, Presidential Management Staff (PMS) Secretary Julia Abad and Climate Change Commision (CCC) Secretary Emmanuel de Guzman.
