H.E. Ma. Theresa Parreño Lazaro was appointed Philippine Ambassador to France and Monaco in 23 April 2014. She is Permanent Delegate of the Philippines to UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and was previously the Philippine Ambassador to Switzerland. Prior to be being appointed as Ambassador, she served as Consul General under the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney, Australia and Deputy Consul General in New York, USA. She also served Minister and Consul General in the Philippine Embassy in Madrid, Spain; First Secretary and Consul in the Philippine Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland; Second Secretary and Consul in the Philippines Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand; Deputy Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP); Deputy Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia (CCOP).
