Philippine Ambassador to the Italian Republic Domingo P. Nolasco arrived in Rome and took charge of the Embassy effective 15 March 2015. He presented his Letter of Credence to President Sergio Mattarella of the Italian Republic in Rome on April 08, 2015.

Ambassador Nolasco is also accredited as non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Malta, Republic of San Marino and Republic of Albania.
Further, Ambassador Nolasco is the Permanent Representative to the Rome-based UN Agencies (Food and Agriculture Organization, World Food Programme, and International Fund for Agricultural Development).

Prior to his assignment in Italy, Ambassador Domingo was the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Fiscal Management at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). He also served as Director to the Office of Asian and Pacific Affairs and as Special Assistant to the Office of the Undersecretary for Administration at the DFA.

His first foreign assignment was in January 1994 at the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo Japan as Third Secretary and Vice Consul and later on promoted to First Secretary and Consul. He was also assigned at the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C., USA in February 2006 as Minister and Consul General and later on as Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General in October 2011.
He graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts, Major in Economics at the Ateneo de Manila University in 1982 and Bachelor of Laws at the University of the Philippines in 1988. He also completed his Master of Arts in International Relations in 2004 at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
