President Benigno S. Aquino III’s Official Visit
to Italy and Formal Visit to the Holy See

In Rome, Italy, President Benigno S. Aquino III is set to hold a bilateral meeting with President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Matteo Renzi during his official visit.

Aside from his meeting with the Filipino community, he will also lead the unveiling and blessing ceremonies for the mosaic image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia at the Vatican Gardens.

Before he leaves for Manila, President Aquino and his delegation will visit the Holy See and hold a private audience with His Holiness Pope Francis at the Apostolic Palace in Vatican. This will segue to a meeting with His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Cardinal Secretary of State.
