Jo Ann Galvan is a medical doctor who decided to go to Malaysia to pursue a new career that is still related to her profession. At present, she is a senior lecturer in one of Malaysia’s top universities and its lone Filipino professor.

Jo Ann looked back on the challenges that she faced early on in Malaysia, and shared the Filipino’s strength of character in overcoming difficulties.
