President Benigno S. Aquino III graced the Thanksgiving Celebration and National Transformation Assembly of the Tarlac First Baptist Church (TFBC) held at San Vicente in Tarlac City.

In his speech, the President lauded Bishop Jonel Milan, founder and president of Care for Philippines Intercessors Movement (K4Phil), as well as the TFBC, for actively contributing to their church and to society as a whole. “Talaga pong isinabuhay ninyo: ‘We are our brother’s keeper’,” he said.

The President also mentioned several projects and plans of the government for Tarlac province such as the Section 1 of Tarlac – Pangasinan – La Union Expressway (TPLEX) and the development of Subic – Clark – Tarlac – Expressway (SCTEX).

“Sa atin pong pagtutulungan sa Daang Matuwid, talaga naman pong malayo na ang ating narating. Napakalawak ng saklaw ng positibong pagbabago na kayo – ang aking mga Boss – ang gumawa at patuloy na gumagawa,” President Aquino added.

Accompanying the President were Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mel Senen Sarmiento, former DILG Secretary Mar Roxas and Camarines Sur Representative Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo.
