President Benigno S. Aquino III held an emergency meeting with the officials of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) led by Undersecretary Alexander Pama to discuss updates on Typhoon “Lando” (international name: “Koppu”) as it continues to gain strength upon entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Also present were Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Mario Montejo, Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Corazon “Dinky” Soliman and other Cabinet members.
