President Benigno S. Aquino III arrived in Manila onboard Philippine Airlines flight PR001 bearing good news after his four-day State Visit to Japan. This includes the signing of agreements on trade, maritime safety and health.
In his speech, President Aquino asserted that 11 Japanese companies have signed letters of intent to open and further expand their business operation in the Philippines. These are companies investing in renewable energy, products like printer, smart glasses and advanced medical equipment including aortic catheter, in-vitro diagnostics and hemodialysis treatment devices.
Also among the good news, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that Japan is willing to give a concessional loan to the Philippines amounting to almost Php136.9 billion to be used for infrastructure projects.
And with all the Philippines’ success, President Aquino expressed his optimism that the Filipinos will continue to take the straight path in building a better nation.
