A project of the APEC Oceans and Fisheries Working Group (OFWG), the “Workshop on Climate Change Impact on Oceans and Fisheries Resources” aims to address the impacts of climate change on ocean, rising of sea level and the distributing changes in marine resources; and as well as to the Arctic sea-ice melting and how it has been affected more quickly having seriously the repercussions on the global environment.

The event was officially opened by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Director Asis Perez and Japanese Cabinet Counsellor Akima Umezawa.
