President Beningo S. Aquino III arrived past twelve noon (Vancouver time) at the Vancouver International Airport to hold a visit in the city as part of his state visit to Canada.

The President was welcomed by Minister Jason Kenney of the Ministry for National Defense and Ministry of Multiculturism; Minister Suzanne Anton of the Minister of Justice of British Columbia and the Attorney General; and Marc Andrei Oullete, Chief of Protocol of the Office of the Premier-BC. For the Philippines side, his reception party was composed of Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer, Consul Anthony Achilles Mandap and Consul Rogelio Villanueva Jr.

Before travelling to Vancouver, President Aquino visited Chicago, Illinois in the United States of America (USA), and Toronto and Ottawa which are also cities from Canada.

During his stay in Vancouver, the President is expected to meet with the British Columbia Premier Christy Clark and members of the Filipino community in the city.
