President Benigno S. Aquino III joined the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) leaders in the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ABAC) held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center.

In their discussions, the ASEAN leaders expressed their appreciation to ABAC in engaging various stakeholders such as the coordination of the private sector perspectives, interests and concerns with regard to the ASEAN integration.

It was agreed during the meeting that in order to increase trade and investments in the region, there must be a maintenance of a conducive business environment and improvement of the ease of doing business in the ASEAN community.
