President Benigno S. Aquino III visits Dolores and Borongan City in Eastern Samar to personally assess the condition of Typhoon Ruby victims and deliver help for their rehabilitation.

His first stop will be in the town of Dolores where Ruby first made landfall on the eve of 6 December from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the speed of 175 km per hour (kph) gusting up to 210 kph.

The President will then proceed to Borongan City where a flashflood left a trail of destruction, leaving most residents homeless.

 Through an early recovery program initiated by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), beneficiaries from both areas will receive monetary assistance, shelter fixing and hygiene kits.
