President Benigno S. Aquino III met with top executives and officials of the Ayala Group and the France-based groups of Bouygues-Alstom and Egis S.A. at the Intercontinental Paris Le Grand Hotel in Paris.

The President expressed his appreciation and gratitude on the support of the Ayala-Bouygues-Alstom group for pushing through with the LRT 1 South Extension project and their expansion plans in Manila. In a business forum, he witnessed the signing of an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Agreement between Bouygues Publics Travaux, Alstom Transport and Light Rail Manila Consortium for the design and construction of the Manila LRT Line 1 Extension Project extending the line by 12 kilometers and the addition of eight stations.

The Egis group likewise signified to the President its interest in water supply projects that would benefit parts of Metro Manila and Luzon.

Egis offers engineering, project structuring, operations and consulting services in such fields like transport, urban development, building, water, environment and energy.
