President Benigno S. Aquino III delivered the good news and told the recent economic developments from the Philippines to hundreds of Filipinos who have made France as their second home during his meeting with the Filipino Community in Paris.
In a speech he made at the Chapel of St. Bernadette, the President said that the Philippines has transformed for the better because of the administration’s reforms and efforts to clean the bureaucracy and fight graft and corruption. He thanked his “bosses” for their trust and cooperation to pursue the change he wanted under his governance.
“Sa bawat desisyon ko, iisa lang din ang iniisip ko –Kayo. Bilang ama ng bayan, patuloy kong gagawin ang tama’t makatwiran; patuloy kong ipaglalaban ang kapwa ko Pilipino,” he declared.
President Aquino also told the Filipino Community that he was amazed with the suggestion of a foreign bank to globalize the Philippine peso like the currency of the US dollar. He said this only shows the strong confidence of international investors in the economy of the Philippines.
President Aquino was received by Rafaelito Gomez, President of Philippine Associations (PPA in France from Maharlika Association), Jaime Pitargue, Vice President of PPA (from Sandigan Association), Yolanda Nitural, Secretary of PPA (from Mindoreño Association) Lito Lacson , Treasurer of PPA (One Ganap Guardians), Ruben Cabinta (Ang Pinoy Association), Msgr.
