President Benigno S. Aquino III attended the Mindanao Membership Meeting and Launch of the Mindanao Inclusive Agri-Business Program at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City.

With the theme “Mindanao on the Move Moving as One”, the event brings together the members of the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) to strengthen their bond with their commitment to reduce poverty through inclusive growth. As highlight, the PBSP and Mindanao Development Authority (MINDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work together for peace and development all throughout Mindanao.

“The initiative we launch today, the Mindanao Inclusive Agri-Business Program, comes at an opportune time, as we seek to transform Mindanao from the Land of Promise to the Land of Promises Fulfilled,” the President said.

“The changing face of Mindanao is among our greatest sources of pride: it is a region that, once mired in strife, will soon realize its dreams of peace and prosperity, of innovation and advancement, of being a wellspring of opportunity for its peoples,” he added.
