If walking the streets of Tokyo already excites you, wait till you get to the observatory of the Tokyo Tower.

Rising at 333 meters in height and weighing 4,000 tons – exceeding the Eiffel Tower’s 320 meters height in Paris – the Tokyo Tower offers a breathtaking view of Tokyo’s cityscape.

Built in 1958, the Tokyo Tower was not only built for aesthetics purposes but for a long time, it served a major role in transferring analog data signal for several television and radio stations until a couple of years ago when Japan shifted to the digital era.

In 2013, Tokyo Tower celebrated its 55th birthday.
