As part of the country’s Labor Day celebration this year, President Benigno S. Aquino III visited some of the electronics and semiconductor manufacturing companies in the province of Laguna.

The President started his tour at Testech, Inc. in Brgy. Batino, Calamba City where he inspected the training and manufacturing facilities together with Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz, Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory Domingo, Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Lilia De Lima, Testech, Inc. Chairman Alfonso Yuchengco III, and its President and COO Fernando Silva.

Testech Inc., the Philippines’s leading visual inspection firm to the electronics and semiconductor industry, is the first to operate using Auto-Visual Inspection (AVI) process for substrate inspection. In partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), it has trained and provided jobs for Filipinos who are unemployed. It is an associate member of the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines, Inc. (SEIPI) and is a PEZA-registered company. It was awarded as the Most Outstanding Substrates and Lead Frames Inspection Company (National Award) by the Philippine Marketing Excellence Award in 2006.
