President Benigno S. Aquino III joined the Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Incorporated (FFCCCII) as it celebrated its 60th diamond anniversary at the Solaire Resort in Parañaque City.
In his speech, the President recognized the significant contribution that the FFCCCII has given the government in bridging the classroom gap in the country. He also mentioned the current project of the organization in funding the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority’s (TESDA’s) Green Innovation Technology Center that will serve as a hub for some of the technical vocational and training programs.
The President also encouraged the FFCCCII to create apprenticeship programs where aspiring entrepreneurs can learn and be involved in more micro, small and medium enterprises to help generate jobs and give the country an opportunity for growth.
For the past 60 years, the FFCCCII has made significant contributions in helping the government in nation building, the most recent of which is its assistance to the victims of super typhoon Yolanda in Palo, Leyte.
Also present during the event was Chinese Ambassador Zhao Jian Hua, members of the diplomatic corps, local officials, and representatives of various international chambers of commerce.
