For the first activity in his State Visit, President Benigno S. Aquino III, together with Petron Chairman and CEO Ramon Ang, unveiled the inauguration marker of the first-constructed Petron filling station in Malaysia.

During the station tour, the President was briefed by Mr. Ang on the increase of 20-25% market volume since Petron acquired ExxonMobil, the previous oil brand. Petron Malaysia Retail Business Head Faridah Ali also explained to the President the use of state-of-the art fuel dispensers for an automatic refueling process.

President Aquino visited the Treats convenience store and viewed its facilities including the ATM section and dining area.

Petron Malaysia was established in March 2012 when Petron bought ExxonMobil and its subsidiaries for $610 million. To date, Petron Malaysia had successfully re-branded and upgraded 290 out of 560 ExxonMobil stations to Petron.
