President Benigno S. Aquino III welcomed Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop to the country in a courtesy call at the Malacañan Palace.

Minister Bishop is in the country for a three-day visit to discuss regional and global concerns including trade and security between the Philippines and Australia. In their meeting, the foreign minister expressed her willingness to visit the super typhoon Yolanda affected areas, where Australia sent aid materials and financial support for the recovery effort.
