Brunei International Airport

From Indonesia, President Benigno S. Aquino III headed to Brunei Darussalam where he is set to participate in the 23rd Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Summits from 9-10 October 2013.

The President arrived by 4:35 PM at the Brunei International Airport. He was welcomed by the Philippine Embassy officials led by Ambassador Nestor Ochoa and his spouse Maria Tomasa Ochoa, Minister and Consul Celeste Balatbat, Minister and Consul General Raymond Balatbat, and Defense and Armed Forces Attache Colonel Carlos Cepe.

Among the members of the Philippine delegation are Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario, Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory Domingo, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, Cabinet Secretary Jose Rene Almendras, NEDA Director-General Arsenio Balisacan, Presidential Management Staff Secretary Julia Andrea Abad and Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office Secretary Ramon Carandang.

From the airport, President Aquino proceeded to Assarraa Complex House F-23 where he will officially stay throughout the visit.
